Maria Weissenstein pilgrimage site

Known as the “Cathedral of the Dolomites”, Maria Weissenstein (or “Madonna di Pietralba” in Italian) is perfect for a peaceful retreat. And it’s right nearby. Recharge, reflect, and soak up the serene, spiritual atmosphere.

The Flecker bus stop is just 250m away from the hotel and offers convenient connections to the nearby villages and ski areas in Val d’Ega/Eggental. It’s the ideal starting point for exploring the region on excursions and for enjoying winter or summer activities in an environmentally friendly way, all without a car.
Obereggen ski area
Directly below the Latemar massif lies the Obereggen ski area, with around 50 kilometres of slopes, 18 lifts, a snow park and night park, as well as 3 toboggan runs and an Alpine coaster. Thanks to the Val di Fiemme/Obereggen ski pass, which allows you to use the lifts in several nearby ski areas, you can explore up to 111 kilometres of slopes during your skiing holiday.
Passo di Lavazè
Passo di Lavazè connects the mountains around Obereggen with peaks such as Mt Pala di Santa/Zanggen and offers spectacular views of the surrounding Dolomites. It invites visitors year-round to enjoy rewarding hikes and is particularly popular in winter thanks to its specialised, extensive cross-country skiing centre.
Mt Corno Bianco/Weißhorn
Mt Corno Bianco/Weißhorn is one of the most striking peaks around Eggen, thanks to its brilliant white Sardolomite rock. The summit, which is relatively easy to climb, attracts numerous hiking enthusiasts, largely due to its 360-degree view of the Dolomites. In winter, Mt Corno Bianco/Weißhorn is part of the Oclini Dolomites family ski area.
Mt Corno Nero/Schwarzhorn
Mt Corno Nero/Schwarzhorn owes its name to the dark, reddish-gray Bolzano quartz porphyry. As the counterpart to Mt Corno Bianco/Weißhorn, it blends the impressive Dolomites backdrop and is a popular destination for hiking enthusiasts. During the cold season, you can ski down the slopes of Mt Corno Nero/Schwarzhorn in the family-friendly Oclini Dolomites ski area.
Mt Pala di Santa/Zanggen
Mt Pala di Santa/Zanggen lies peacefully at the edge of the Obereggen – Pampeago – Predazzo ski area and offers a magnificent panoramic view of the peaks of Mt Rosengarten and the Pala group. For hiking and skiing enthusiasts, the ascent from Passo di Lavazè/Lavazèjoch to Mt Pala di Zanga/Zanggen is a rewarding tour with views reach all the way to the western Alpine range.
Mt Latemar

Countless Dolomites legends surround the impressive mountain range, which seems especially magical during sun set – when the peaks glow in the warm, reddish evening light.
Mt Sciliar/Schlern
